John S. Poulos (Sacramento)

In his work as Managing Partner of the Sacramento, California, office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, John Poulos leverages extensive knowledge of environmental and construction litigation. In the construction sector, he has handled contract disputes, inefficiency claims, and mechanics’ liens, as well as issues surrounding scheduling and defects. John Poulos’ environmental law experience at Pillsbury encompasses matters of property contamination and mold, and he is familiar with relevant laws such as the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act and the Clean Water Act. He has secured a number of professional awards, including designation as a Northern California Super Lawyer and as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the category of construction litigation in 2013.

He attended Claremont McKenna College, from which he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Economics in the late 1980s.
